Spartan Kristen Miller discusses how she positively navigated a career transition from film to digital marketing.
Kristen Miller is a Digital Marketing Specialist in the Financial Services Industry.
She has been working in Marketing for the past five years and specializes in social media, websites and email campaigns. Kristen has a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University (MSU) in Telecommunications: Digital Media, Arts and Technologies with a specialization in Film Studies.
After graduating from MSU, Kristen’s career started in the film industry as a Production Assistant in Los Angeles on many popular TV shows (24, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, New Girl, The Office, Water For Elephants, The Emmy Awards). However, after a few years, she decided to make a career transition and chose Marketing, where she could use her creativity and administration skills.
Kristen lives in Charlotte, NC and is currently President of the Spartans of Charlotte Alumni Club. She continues to keep her production and event management skills current by volunteering for the Charlotte American Marketing Association (CAMA) as the Events Chair. Her favorite motto is “Don’t Panic, Organize!”
